from 85 reviewsThe arclight was recommended to me by a GP trainer and I bought it after CCT. I was nervous whether it would be easy to use but I actually think it's easier and better quality than the standard opthalmoscope/otoscope I was using before- I can get a better view of the optic disc! I also love that I won't be generating waste from single use specula, I got the combo pack so I have plenty to use and they're easy to clean. My only regret is not getting it sooner!

Does everything I need as an NHS GP- no need for an expensive bulky otoscope/ophthalmoscope!

As a foundation doctor, we don’t get much experience with ophthalmoscopes in hospital. This is so useful to have with you and very user friendly, the otoscope function also works very well, better even than some of the scopes I have used in hospital.

Great engineering and design
Invaluable for fundal reflexes avoiding the standard hunt for ophthalmoscope, batteries, bulbs etc.

The Arclight provides a clear view to retina, and is so easy to use that we offer parents to look at their childs fundus - which they are able to do right away!
Amazing product - very clear view of retina even in nondilated patients.
The Arclight ophthalmoscope should be mandatory to have in every ophthalmologists pocket!
Very good value for money!

compact, useful, easy to use, thoughtful. Exceeded my expectations

As a medical student I have found this much easier to use than a standard pocket opthalmoscope, and a lot easier to carry around in my scrub pockets. Would definitely recommend this over the pocket opthalmoscope.

Easy to use , attach easily to the otoscope., robust and easily sanitised.

Bought for the intentions to carry out aid work abroad, but it’s ended up being the handiest little gadget for day to day work as an optometrist. Very impressed.

As a GP trainee, the idea of buying a ‘traditional’ otoscope is out of my price range. This is affordable, very practical and user friendly. Perfect for home visits, and I also use it when working in ED as it fits in my scrubs pocket. No longer am I worried about breaking an expensive bit of kit, or forever looking for one with battery! Top notch innovation that I love showing off!

This gives me a better view than my old pocket ophthalmoscope. I showed a students I get in practice from the local university Optometry department and he went out and bought one straight away too! The practices eyes are pretty cool too. I'm going to print off a load of different pathologies to swap into them.

UK GP after a lightweight and compact diagnostic set came across Arclight. Ordering, dispatch and delivery were great.
The Arclight itself is really simple to use and provides far better than expected views of TMs and fundi. It is so easy to use that even my 9 year old was able (with some coaching!) to visualise my retina! Various GP colleagues and practice nurses were also surprised and impressed by the quality of views given.
Only slight downside to be aware of is that, as it is conveniently small, it initially felt a bit fiddly in big hands but I’m used to it now.
The biggest endorsement I can give is that, after a couple of weeks of use, the Arclight has replaced my Welch-Allyn otoscope and ophthalmoscope for regular use.

The arc light is such a quality product and extremely useful and versatile. Honestly the best piece of eye exam tech to come out recently. Not all bells and whistles, just a reasonably priced piece of useful equipment. The light source is excellent and it holds the charge so well! Valuable for mobile eye care and outreach.

Bought this after getting sick and tired of never being able to find a working opthalmoscope in my ED. It’s absolutely fantastic - really easy to use, small enough to carry about and really clear views. Highly recommend.

I am a final year GP trainee (GPST3) in Glasgow. I needed a good quality but budget friendly otoscope/ophthalmoscope. In my day to day work I use the otoscope regularly, less so the opthalmoscope. I knew about arclight but never tried it before. I decided to get one and I was never disappointed. It is compact, user friendly, and absolutely does the job. I have no reason to use another diagnostic set ever again. I can not recommend it enough.
