Condensing Lenses

A hand-held condensing lens is required to examine the retina using the Holo BIO. We offer a package with +20D and +28D condensing lenses, the most commonly used lens powers:

+20D lens – A versatile, general-purpose lens offering 3.00x magnification with a 46° field of view, ideal for adult examinations and diabetic retinopathy screening

+28D lens – Provides a wider 56° field of view with 2.27x magnification, making it particularly useful for paediatric assessments and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) screening

Outstanding device

A really excellent device! Easy to use. Long battery life and easy to charge in countries with different plug sockets and different voltages. I used it in an eye camp environment and it was phenomenally useful in theatre and in the clinical assessment of post op patients, as we had no slit lamp. My IPD is 72mm but it still worked fine, in spite of the fixed inter pupillary distance of up to 68mm. It’s easy to use in conjunction with spectacle wear. In summary, highly recommended!

Nice bit of kit and very affordable. I think the retinal image is superb. It's easy to use and all works. Amazing you don't get much corneal reflection even without changing size of the light in smaller pupils.
However I find the 5 light settings too many and the 90 second automatically turning off is quite irritating when doing an indented exam and having to fiddle to press the button five times again. But it's still 5 stars for me
