The arclight was recommended to me by a GP trainer and I bought it after CCT. I was nervous whether it would be easy to use but I actually think it's easier and better quality than the standard opthalmoscope/otoscope I was using before- I can get a better view of the optic disc! I also love that I won't be generating waste from single use specula, I got the combo pack so I have plenty to use and they're easy to clean. My only regret is not getting it sooner!
Great little gadget - very operator friendly, intuitive to use, I love that it has blue light + that you have magnifying loop plus light. I find small focal light beam for direct ophthalmoscopy is not reliable enough to look for aqueous flare unfortunately (compared with a direct ophthalmoscope with a Micro aperture - which is how I teach GPs and students to look for aqueous flare). But considering how most vet students are intimidated by the direct ophthalmoscope and don't really understand how to use this, I'd much prefer them to use this device. I'm hoping next thing arclights tackles is some kind of slit beam device.
Fantastic. The delivery was quick and efficient. The product has a great lense so I’m really satisfied.
Really like it.
Excellent product
